Oxford's unique tutorial system allowed me to get to know my Professors better, making for a much more fulfilling education. I am a huge fan.

My two greats uncle Frank Buckland kept a bear in his rooms in the old Fells building. The bear was named Tiglath Pileser. Frank took the bear to chapel. So famously the Dean or Canon one day ordered that Frank or the bear would have to go !

I am deeply thankful for the excellence of the tutorials that my son, Daniel, has received at Christ Church when reading Chemistry several years ago. I know how much he has appreciated and benefitted from them.

I remain deeply grateful for the corporate sponsorship that I received. Without it, I could not have pursued my doctorate and, without the doctorate, I would not be presented with the immensely enjoyable challenges provided by my work.

The Meadows are the most important natural environment asset of the City of Oxford. It's great that ChCh is doing such good work to maximise its biodiversity value. Past members of the House can and should help the conservation efforts here.

With fond memories of arts weeks, music rooms, a room that was a haven for the visual arts.... and some cathedral garden plays that 21 years on we still have to talk about!
